Welcome to the City of God Ecumenical Church web site. The information that is provided on this site is designed to share our mission and beliefs. Our main mission is to teach and heal. We share with all who will listen that GOD LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY. This unconditional love is the essence of human existence. It gives us all the freedom to experience life to the fullest without the fear of punishment and damnation. Our freedom is only controlled by the Golden Rule "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you".
We consider ourselves an interdenominational church. We believe that all religions and churches do have truth in their doctrines and belief systems. We embrace these truths.
Religions are organizations that have rules and expectations of behavior in order to reach "salvation". We do not embrace any rules or expectations that require an individual to live or act in a way that is contrary to what they feel in their heart is right and how their conscience directs them. Everyone finds God in their own way and is on their own spiritual journey. Our church is not here to introduce you to God but to help you have a more intimate understanding and relationship with Him.
Because we were created in the image and likeness of God we also share in His divinity. We are part of God, not separate from Him. The concept that we have been separated from God is misleading. God and Man have never been separated. We are one. We share in all of creation through the divine oneness with The Creator.
Another truth we hold dear is that we have the ability to heal ourselves through prayer, meditation and alignment with the natural and spiritual laws and God's divine energy. As described in the bible, hands on healing brings in God's healing energy. Our bodies were designed to heal. Using spiritual healing techniques in partnership with alternative and modern medicine the human condition can become and stay healthy.
